Good Wednesday 23 May 2012.  Today on THE IDECLAIR SHOW…

>> Republicans have waged several wars (war on Women, war on Immigrants, war on Voting Rights, war on Health Care, war on Elderly, Children, Education, Labor, Workers, and on, and on, and on) simultaneously… and now want those who they have attacked to vote and support their draconian policies.

Republicans think having a visual luke warm makeover will do the trick.  Will you be tricked by Republicans selling trickle down economics, and rights constricting on STEROIDS?!

The War Room with Jen… : Granholm: Voter suppression is ‘treasonous”‘

Published on May 22, 2012 by

“In November, five million eligible voters will find it harder to vote in America,” says Jennifer Granholm. New voter restriction laws will disproportionately affect the poor, elderly and minorities, groups that tend to vote for the Democrats.

“Why do they do this?”  “Seems kind of obvious. When you don’t have the winning ideas, you change the rules of the game.

Granholm says the Republicans are trying every tactic they can to keep the people from choosing the candidate they prefer. She says, “when you can’t convince voters that you are the best choice, you restrict their right to choose.”

“Efforts to suppress voting are not just selfish, there not just short-sighted. Voter restriction laws, that lead to an outcome based upon process instead upon merit, might be labeled – and I imagine even by our founding fathers – as treasonous.”

“Papantonio: The Worst Republican Party in History”

Published on May 22, 2012 by

“The modern incarnation of the GOP bears virtually no resemblance to the party that produced presidents like Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower. In fact, even Ronald Reagan would have been considered a moderate by the standards of today’s Republican Party. With every new Tea Party member that gets elected to Congress, the Party is forced to shift their positions further and further to the right to appeal to their fringe base, leaving independents and moderates with only one alternative. Mike Papantonio discusses the radical shift in Republican ideology with Jesse LaGreca, a member of the Occupy Movement, and best-selling author and President of Libertas, LLC Cliff Schecter.”
