According to Fast Food Forward: “$200 Billion annually is grossed by fast food industry. $11,000 is the average yearly salary of fast food workers in NYC. $25,000 is the average daily salary of most Fast Food CEO’s, over two times what average worker makes in one year. Workers make only 25% of money needed to survive in NYC while working at fast food companies.”

“Can’t Survive on $7.25!”
Published on Nov 28, 2012 by FastFoodForward
“In America, people who work hard should be able to afford basic necessities like groceries, rent, childcare and transportation. While fast food corporations reap the benefits of record profits, workers earn $7.25/hr and are barely getting by—many are forced to be on public assistance despite having a job. Raising pay for fast food workers will benefit workers and strengthen the overall economy.”

Regarding the Fiscal Cliff, and the ongoing negotiations…
Why not raise desperately needed revenue from a Wall Street transaction tax? With hundreds of trillions of dollars in the derivatives market, and since Wall Street is the root & core of the historic & horrific recession, where is the national discussion of a Wall Street transaction tax?
It’s the Raising Tax Rates, Closing Loopholes, Ending Corporate Subsidies & Special Tax Benefits, & IT’S TIME for The Wall Street Transaction Tax. PERIOD. Let us not forget HOW WE GOT HERE.
The articles below are MUST READS.
“THE FINANCIAL CRISIS INQUIRY REPORT: FINAL REPORT OF THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON THE CAUSES OF THE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC CRISIS IN THE UNITED STATES”
“In the wake of the most significant financial crisis since the Great Depression, the President signed into law on May 20, 2009, the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009, creating the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. The Commission was established to examine the causes, domestic and global, of the current financial and economic crisis in the United States. During the course of its investigation, the ten person bipartisan committee reviewed millions of pages of documents, interviewed more than 700 witnesses, and held 19 days of public hearings in New York, Washington, D.C., and communities across the country that were hit hard by the crisis. The final report presents the Commission’s findings and conclusions and also contains 126 pages of dissenting views. The Commission terminates sixty days following the release of its final report.”

“Richard Pryor as Rev. James L. White”
Uploaded by dcjohn62 on Feb 5, 2008
“Classic Rich from his NBC speacial i 1977. Rev. James L. White brought the house down in primetime in this ground breaking special. Remember, it’s easy for us to ask him to give up some of his fine homes, diamonds and expensive wardrobe because we have none of these things! Classic!”
